Newcastle division respond to Palestinian flag at Nc/le Civic Centre

Early last week a Newcastle labour councillor (David Stockdale) flew the Palestinian flag at Newcastle’s Civic Centre. David Stockdale did this act without official permission from Newcastle City Council and his action is being investigated, though it has been suggested that no action will be taken against him.

The Newcastle division of the English Defence League were rightly outraged that this foreign flag was flown in their city at a government building by an elected official and that no action would (most likely) be taken against that person.

With that in mind some Newcastle patriots decided that if he can fly a flag without repercussions then so can they.  On the way home from the EDL national Batley demo a plan was hatched to hoist the official English Defence League flag in protest of the Palestinian flag being flown, and that is exactly what they did.

We are not sure how long our flag was flying over Newcastle that day/night or who took it down as no one has yet claimed responsibility, but it does not matter how long it was flying because our point was made.
