Operation Sanctuary
A man (MUSLIM) has been charged as part of Operation Sanctuary.
Ahmed Ali, 28, of Two Ball Lonnen, Newcastle has been charged with sexual assault.
The charge relates to an incident on Thursday, February 13, in which a woman was sexually assaulted in the Newcastle area.
He will appear before Newcastle Magistrates' Court on October 24.
This brings the total number of people charged under Operation Sanctuary to 22.
