UPDATE: NE EDL Summer on the streets hailed a success

At one of our regular 'meet and greets' earlier this year it was announced that the North East EDL would be stepping up our activism within the North East throughout the summer months. The plan was to have a range of activities to suit all our members, including leafleting sessions, flash protests, unannounced marches etc.. The intentions for this 'summer on the streets' campaign was to spread the word of the NE EDL, meet and recruit the public, take our streets back from the left wing and stop the local Muslims from spreading their hate and recruiting at Newcastle monument.

This announcement was welcomed by the NE EDL members in attendance at the meeting and plans for the campaign were swiftly drawn up between the NE organisers.

Early summer the campaign started with the NE Angels (female division) travelling throughout the North East on most Saturdays and holding leafleting sessions regarding FGM, Muslim grooming gangs etc.. as well as chatting with the public to raise awareness regarding these subjects.
Naturally there were some people who did not want to talk or listen to what our Angels had to say but overall the response by the public was brilliant with a few even joining in with the leafleting campaign.

Next step was to start our popular 'flash' protests. As Newcastle is seen as the capital of the left wing within the NE, (plus they go unopposed every Saturday at the monument), it was decided by the organisers that the main bulk of our flash demos should be targeted at these left wing organisations but also not forget to target other areas when needed. Which is exactly what we started doing, the lefty organisations as well as the Islamic Diversity table were taken by surprise and swiftly moved on when we started showing up. What they did not expect though was for us to turn up nearly every Saturday after that and keep opposing them (which really started to frustrate them).
What we achieved by doing this was to make the left and the NE Antifa start to turn on and argue amongst themselves simply because they could not get the numbers to oppose us, this action alone has caused a lot of infighting amongst our enemies which is always good news.

Due to us continuing to put pressure on the IDC and the left org's every Saturday the police had started watching for us congregating at our normal meeting places and stop us from getting 'too close' to our targets, this made us 'up' our plans and switch from our normal meeting locations to premises at other areas of the city centre which we knew would not be monitored, and so started our unofficial march & flash campaign.

Our unofficial march & flash campaign proved to be the most popular by far of all the campaigns we run throughout the summer. Every week a text message was sent out to the NE EDL members with details of the meeting place, time and target, plus a reminder not to post anything on 'facebook' about our weekly target as we knew we were being monitored. This worked very well and resulted in the NE EDL being able to march from one end of the city centre to the 'target area' without the police constraining us or ordering us to go a different route. It gave us a chance to mingle with the public and chat with them without the normal heavy police presence surrounding us. Walking down Northumberland street in the sun singing patriotic songs with the NE EDL banner flying high in front of us with many of the public clapping or giving us the 'thumbs up' was a great experience and showed us just how much support we actually have within the North East.

We kept these campaigns up till the end of summer and only now have we had a chance to look back on them and see how much of a success they actually were. We have spread our word, changed some peoples misconceptions about us plus gained new members, and more importantly we have shown the local left wing and IDC that we are here to stay and can/will oppose them whenever and wherever we want.
We have plans for other campaigns in the near future and one more flash to finish our year off on a 'high', but unless you are a member then you will only get to know about it after we have done it.

Appeal after woman raped by Muslim in Sunderland

Police are appealing for information after a woman was raped in Sunderland.

The incident happened between 4.30pm and 5.30pm in the evening on Monday, September 22, in Mowbray Park in the city centre.

The woman, aged in her 40s, was in the park when she was approached by a man who attacked her. He is described as Asian, aged in his 20s.

Officers are carrying out enquiries into the attack and are appealing for any witnesses and anyone who was in the park on Monday evening to contact them. In particular, it's thought a man, who had a beard, and a woman, were walking in the park and officers are keen to speak to them as potential witnesses.

Police are carrying out extra patrols throughout the park and surrounding area.

Neighbourhood Inspector Mick Hall, said: "Incidents such as this can have a devastating effect on victims and we have specially trained officers working with the victim to make sure she has the support she needs at such a distressing time.

"We also know that these incidents can be concerning to the local community and officers will be carrying out extra patrols throughout the park and surrounding area.

"If anyone was in the park on Monday evening I would urge them to contact us as they may have information that can help with our enquiries, no matter how insignificant it seems it could prove to be crucial in helping us to identify and catch the offender.

"If anyone saw anything that seemed out of the ordinary, or a man acting suspiciously, we would ask they speak to us."

Fake Muslim Newcastle cabbie kidnapped young reveller before sexually abusing her

Businessman Mohammed Malik is facing years behind bars after he kidnapped and molested a 20-year-old who thought he was a taxi driver.

Prowling the city centre in his black estate car, this is fake cabbie Mohammed Malik on the night he kidnapped and sexually abused a young reveller.

Stalking the streets looking for a victim, the businessman is caught on CCTV picking up a drunk 20-year-old who thought he was a taxi driver.

The victim got into Malik’s car near The Gate complex, on Newgate Street, and asked to be taken the short distance to the place in the city centre where she was staying with friends.

But instead Malik drove her to the West End of Newcastle, parked up in a secluded spot and subjected the terrified young woman to a sordid sex attack.

He was snared after three men who spotted the woman getting into the car noted down the registration number and texted it to police.

Now the 30-year-old, of Beaconsfield Street, Arthur’s Hill, Newcastle, is facing years in prison after a jury at Newcastle Crown Court convicted him of kidnap and sexual assault.

Prosecutor Julian Smith said the 20-year-old was a visitor to the city and had been out celebrating a birthday with friends in March when she started looking for a taxi around 4am.

Mr Smith said: “The complainant found herself drunk and alone, looking for a taxi to get her back to her friends.

“Unfortunately for her, the car she got into, believing it to be a taxi, is nothing of the sort.

“She found herself in the defendant’s car, who drove her to a secluded area to the west of the city, away from the city centre. He would not let her leave the car or take her to her friends or the place where she was staying.

“He took her away under false pretences, he would not let her leave and he then took the opportunity to seriously sexually assault her.”

The court heard the young woman and her friends had been to a number of bars, including Popworld, Kiss and Destiny.

They ended up in a takeaway near The Gate, at which point the 20-year-old left and went looking for a cab.

As she was a stranger to Newcastle, she didn’t realise she was only 200 yards from the place where her and her friends were staying.

She was unsuccessful in trying to hail a taxi outside Sinner’s bar and so started walking towards the Haymarket, up Newgate Street.

Mr Smith said: “At that point the defendant’s car comes into view driving down the road away from the Haymarket and it stops in the layby taxi rank outside Debenham’s.

“She approaches him and speaks to him them gets in the car.”

Malik, who manages a number of properties, including a takeaway, drove off with the woman in his VW Golf estate.

Three men passing by saw the woman getting into the car, which they noticed was not a taxi.

They made a note of the registration number and texted it to police. This would ultimately help nail Malik but could not stop the attack.

The pervert drove up Elswick Road with the kidnapped woman, parking up in a secluded spot on Bentinck Road, Elswick.

Despite her screams of “No”, he pulled her into the back seat by her arms and legs and subjected her to a sexual assault.

Mr Smith said: “He would have known she was lost because she told him she was not from round here.

“She was trusting him, believing him to be a taxi driver.

“It lasted some time and eventually, despite having no clue where she was, she told him he made her sick and had the courage to leave the car.

“She rang her friends as she ran away, she was in great distress.

“Fortunately she met two drunken Good Samaritans who stayed with her.”

Malik then reappeared in his car, acting as if nothing had happened and asking if she was going to get back in. She refused and the passers-by flagged down a genuine taxi to take her back into town to her friends.

Police were called and when the woman was examined they found bruising to her arms and legs.

Malik was arrested later the same day as a result of his number plate having been sent to the police.

His DNA was also recovered from the victim’s clothing.

Malik, who had denied kidnap and sexual assault, will be sentenced next month. He was remanded in custody and faces a significant jail term.

Judge John Milford told him: “Doubtless you have been warned as to the sort of sentence you are likely to receive in terms of years.”

Operation Sanctuary police say they are investigating 60 potential victims

The investigation - which has led to the arrest of 120 people - concerns sexual abuse of vulnerable girls and women

Police probing the widespread sexual abuse of vulnerable girls and women have received a total of 60 complaints.

The investigation - codenamed Operation Sanctuary - was launched in response to the sexual offences in Newcastle and surrounding areas.

A total of 120 people have now been arrested and 21 people have been charged since its launch in January.

Just this month predators Hafeez Cole Oye-Dada and Moses Ologbenla were jailed for a total of 16 years after being snared as part of the crackdown on cases against vulnerable girls and women.

Two vulnerable schoolgirls tried to kill themselves after being plied with drink and drugs and subjected to vile sex attacks.

Oye-Dada raped a 14-year-old girl after “cynically exploiting” her by giving her alcohol and cannabis.

He waited until she was incapable through intoxication then attacked her at his friend’s home in the west end of Newcastle, leaving her half naked in a pool of vomit on a bare mattress.

In another room of the property, Ologbenla was subjecting the girl’s 14-year-old friend to another sex attack after getting her drunk on vodka and cannabis.

As married father Oye-Dada was locked up for 10 years for rape and Ologbenla six years for sexual activity with a child, it emerged both victims had taken overdoses after their ordeals.

In a separate case in July this year Gurhan Sayan became the first to be jailed under Operation Sanctuary.

The 45-year-old picked up his 28-year-old victim and assaulted her after finding her slumped on the roadside as he drove through Newcastle, the city’s Crown Court heard.

The victim, who was planning on meeting a friend in town, had fallen after losing her shoe outside the Union Rooms bar, on Westgate Road.

She remembered being approached by a man who gave her back her shoe and put a hand on her shoulder, but the next thing she recalls is waking up on the back seat of a car, 20 minutes later, before the driver who she had never met before, climbed into the back and sexually assaulted her.

Sayan, of Plunkett Terrace, Chester-le-Street, pleaded guilty to sexual assault and was jailed for 45 months.

The news comes as a widespread child abuse ring in Rotherham was laid bare.

An inquiry found at least 1,400 children in the town were sexually exploited by predominantly Asian criminal gangs between 1997 and 2013.

A report commissioned by the council was published on Tuesday and revealed the massive scale of abuse in Rotherham.

The inquiry team noted fears among council staff of being labelled “racist” if they focused on victims’ descriptions of the majority of abusers as “Asian” men.
